I'm seeing that Chiron will conjoin my natal Jupiter in February, and

this, according to Magi astrology?
Chiron Transits
The Magi folks haven't exactly talked about this, at least not in their
books,
because
they don't talk too much about personal transits in the way we tend to
look at them. From a strictly Magi angle, I'd just say that this would
probably be a good time to start some major endeavors, since the chart of such
an endeavor
would contain an enhancement from Chiron to your Jupiter, that is, if your
Jupiter is not heavily squared or opposed in your birth chart, or quincunx
Saturn. If
it is very squared, etc., then Chiron might form more negative aspects than
positive aspects to your chart, which wouldn't be such a swell thing in
Magi land. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if you will meet a really great
friend around this time, since Chiron can represent 'that special someone' (that's
my description) and Jupiter is generally great, and generally a great friend;
this is a Magi-induced opinion.
The following is my opinion, not Magi Astrology: When Chiron transits,
you will tend to notice up to two primary things--one is easy, one is hard;
both can happen under the same transit. First the hard: When a Chiron transit
is hard,
and you can't quite predict this based strictly on astrological guidelines,
we feel thoroughly screwed by the universe, thereby receiving some tragic restimulation
of a major wound; the particular quality of a Chironic wounding aspect is that
it feels VERY UNFAIR. It's as if we're going along, doing everything
we feel like the universe is guiding us to go, God seems on our side, and
then, WHAM! God deserts you even though you thought you were being a good little
boy or girl. So it really, really hurts. When this happens, there are two positive
aspects of this cosmic betrayal. (1) We get a chance to feel the pain, the hurt,
the humiliation, the sorrow, the yadda yadda; thereby we can consciously meet,
feel, and release an ancient wound. (2) And I like this one, you can see Chiron
acting as your spiritual guide, TRYING TO KEEP YOU ON YOUR PATH. You were probably
going in the wrong direction. So Chiron pulls out a little tough love to keep
you from straying in the wrong direction. When Chiron gives you the unfair wound,
it's really important to ask yourself: What's this trying to tell me?
What direction should I cease moving in? What is my spiritual guide trying to
say to me?
A Chiron-Jupiter transit is probably the
least likely to manifest in such a hard way, especially if your Jupiter is
in your fifth house, unless your Jupiter receives some really heavy aspects.
Even
then, it's a strong maybe.
Back to Chiron transits. The other way that a Chiron transit manifests, and
remember that both can happen during the same transit, is that it is some magical
guidance comes into our lives THAT HELPS TO KEEP US MOVING FORWARD ON OUR PATH.
Chiron is a humble, spiritual guide. So when he transits you can be sure that
benevolent spiritual guidance is going to be there. This could take the form
of something as simple and profound as buying just the right book, or having
just the right conversation. We could be gifted with a 'magical item' not unlike the Greek hero being given a special sword or shield or training. Just remember that our personal spiritual coach is going to be present, moving us along our way.
Interestingly, more than anything else, when people come to me for astrology
sessions, flower essence consultations, etc. i find that they are having some
very interesting Chiron transit. That's because going to an astrologer is
like going to Chiron. The hero seeks out the mentor, journeys to his/her cave,
and receives special, unique guidance and support along their life's
journey. The Astrologer plays Chiron, and the client plays the hero(ine). Chiron
is the other planet, besides Uranus, that specifically rules astrology. Therefore
Virgo, in addition to Aquarius, is the sign that specifically rules astrology,
since Chiron rules Virgo. Of course many would disagree there, but I can definitlely
back
that
one
up.
I have Chiron in my sixth house, which makes me a very Chironic person. It's like Uranus in the 11th, Neptune in the 12th, Pluto in the 8th. The 6th, and Virgo, are Chiron's
home. I also have a Chiron-Jupiter conjunction, which enhances and exaggerates
my Chironic nature, for better and for worse.
Back to x. As Chiron goes through your fifth, what might we expect? If there
are any wounds with father or wounds related to self-worth and personal power,
they can certainly be up for review. If you do any kind of alternative work
yourself, it could be a powerful time for you to shine in those arenas. If
you're in the mood for love, you could have a relationship with a Chiron-type person (wounded people, healer people, underdogs, astrologers, humble mavericks). If there are Chiron-themes with your kids, they could come up. Or, you could just be having a lot of fun with Chiron-ruled things. Or, Chiron-ruled things could help give you back your power and confidence and creativity.
Chiron rules 'alternatives.' Interestingly, i have found Chiron to be very strongly placed amongst modern DJ's, humbly playing other people's music, and offering an alternative to music with, hopefully, less ego. This definitely includes the very electronic music out there.

Did anyone purchase and study the Magi materials, and if you did, did you
think they were worth the time? I'm tempted to give it a closer look, simply
because of their emphasis on Chiron-I've long suspected that it was a
much stronger influence in synastry than traditional literature would suggest.
Read my old posts. I recommend 'Love and Money,' and I recommend verifying
their research (thinking critically) for yourself. It's really fascinating
stuff.

Thanks, Moses, for a beautiful description of Chiron transits.

Very well said. And the "tough love" that we receive at the time of a
Chiron transit forces us to step back and see our life in a different
perpective, based on the new situation that we find ourselves in. It also
forces us to turn to our intuition, or to seek the intuitive guidance of
others, so that we can understand this situation better and make a decision
on how to proceed. Chiron transits wake us up to the benevolent spiritual
guidance that has always been there, but that we may not have previously
been receptive to. It is as if a crisis is forced upon us so that we cannot
help but be open to this guidance.

don't agree, get ready to put up your astro-dukes, 'cause i can back that
one up.
Yes, I agree. And people who have strongly placed Chirons (Chiron angular,
Chiron conjunct the Sun or Moon, etc.) tend to be unusually open to
astrological guidance, and other forms of intuitive guidance, of course. At
least, that's what I have found. Most of my clients either have a strong
Chiron natally or are experiencing a major Chiron transit, as you say.

Yes, Chiron certainly does rule alternatives. And Chiron also taught music,
didn't he? I think that people with strongly placed Chirons are here to
help introduce alternative modes of living and healing to the
culture-at-large and to help teach and explain the more spiritualized
perspectives that these alternatives are based on.
Just my two cents!
Blessings to all,
Adele
