Libra Horoscope

Note: I also highly recommend reading the message for your Rising
sign, and considering it together with the message for your Sun sign.
Some
of the events of the last six months may have felt like a shock to
you. It looks to me like the Universe has picked you out of the hat
and chosen you to be its “project” for many years to
come. Since 1996, you’ve been kind of the lucky dog of the
zodiac. What you probably gained overall over these many years is
a renewed sense of confidence and self-esteem, an incredible experience
of your creativity, and greater trust in the goodness of the universe.
Golden blessings fell into your lap as much as anyone over those
years.
That’s
why you really can’t complain when I tell
you that you’re probably going to be doing
a lot more work in the years to come. You’re
sort of going from a summer vacation to a full-time
job. Just look at the last six months. Most Libras
would rather be lounging, relaxing, and living
the good life most of the time, but that’s
not what the Universe had in store for you over
the last six months, or seems to have in store
for you in the years to come. You’ve eaten
your chocolates, right? It’s probably time
to switch gears. If you can get passionate about
some kind of work or service, that will help
a lot.
The
planets seem to indicate that you are learning
a lot these day. Go ahead and wear a pocket protector
and carry around a trapper keeper, because you
might be taking a lot of notes for many more
years to come. You’re in the Universe’s
school more than any other zodiac sign. And in
a roundabout way, you are still the lucky dog
of the zodiac. Here’s why. You have the
potential to really, truly grow as much as any
other sign of the zodiac, if not more than any
other sign of the zodiac, over the years to come.
I have some ideas that should help you navigate
the future with more grace and abundance. These
same pieces of advice are things I would have
said to you six months ago, so you can check
to see if they would have made any sense then.
First
of all, it’s time to get humble. I think
this is something you’ve got to remember
for a long, long time to come. If you are humble,
able to serve others, and willing to look at
your own faults, then you will be able to learn
much, much more in the years to come. If you
aren’t humble, the Universe will probably … help
you. Let’s not go there, right?
Secondly,
you’re probably going to be working a lot,
so you have to get very firm boundaries to insure
you also have enough time for love and play.
If you don’t put your foot down enough,
you’ll feel at times a lot like Cinderella
before she became a princess. Repeat after me: “I
ain’t yo damn slave!”
Third,
if you haven’t learned to already, you’re
got to speak up for yourself more. Contrary to
popular advertising, Libras tend to be very good
at this. Why? Because they have had to learn
to do this. Libra’s are forced to learn
that holding things in only leads to exploding
volcanoes and more problems later. But Libra’s
still have to remind themselves to talk about
issues when they arise, because that Venusian
nature’s instinctive tendency is to keep
problems inside and try to smooth things over.
And you’ve learned that that usually doesn’t
work. Well I think this lesson is going to become
more important than ever before for you, Libra,
because it looks like the Universe is going to
be testing you on this one a lot for a long time
to come.
Here’s
what you’re going to be learning: to be
good to yourself, even at those times when someone
around you isn’t being good to you. Remember: “I
ain’t yo damn slave!” When you show
the Universe that you won’t put up with
junk, it has no option but to send you the good
stuff. This is how you can bring more and more
love and abundance to yourself: by taking advantage
of one of Libra’s greatest attributes;
the ability to analyze a situation according
to how good it really is for you, and take action
to remove it if necessary.
Libra’s
are famous for being mellow, but as you probably
know Libra’s also oscillate between being
mellow and being intense until Libra
learns to talk about the things that bother them
as soon as they arise. This Libran lesson will
certainly be up for review, because you’ll
have to find a way to say “I ain’t
yo damn slave,” without getting intense
about it. How about, “Can we talk about
something?” Your boundaries will be tested,
and if you see things clearly from the beginning,
and talk about issues as they arise, your life
will see tremendous leaps up in abundance. Yummy.
But if you don’t speak up for yourself,
and if you don’t draw firm, self-respecting
lines around what you will and will not have
in your life, you could be stuck in that first
half of Cinderella for a long time. Yucky. Choose
wisely, because it’s either the mop and
bucket or the magical pumpkin carriage. By the
way, that carriage contains true love and a life
supply of gourmet chocolates. ‘Nuf said?
