I've been practicing astrology professionally since my freshman year in college, 1994 (thanks to my mom who got me started early!), and I still find this work so rewarding, fascinating and humbling. Astrology offers a powerful reflection of our lives, our life cycles and timing, our relationships, maybe even the purposes of our lives (outside of learning to love--that one is the universal).
When I was in my late teens and 20s, the study of astrology consumed me. Here was a celestial art and science that showed me so much about myself and helped me understand my relationships--and most importantly what I needed to do to get better at them. This is just one of many potential benefits to taking a look into this cosmic mirror of ourselves. The thing that always drove my passion for astrology was the desire to help others understand their lives as much astrology has helped me to understand myself.
The fate and free will conundrum is a good old one, but there's no doubt that astrology lays out at least the contours of our future. Although I am a western astrologer, I also use vedic astrology just as much in my work because the cycles revealed by the Indian science of light (jyotish) are so very powerful. Western astrology reveals many rich life cycles as well. Together these sciences can help us navigate our way through the opportunity of this life.
My general or full sessions (2 hours) can cover nearly any topics you'd like to discuss, including locational astrology or astrocartography. It's a blank canvas, a dialogue, for us to explore whatever topics are most important to you. Left to my own devices, I'll typically lay out the contours of those future trends and cycles, and point out any other things that I find most fascinating about your current location and your charts.
It's also beneficial to look for ways to try to work with or even improve our astrological lot. For example, by moving to a more supportive location, we can use what astrology offers us to take direct action to change our lives for the better. Vedic astrology can also offer remedial measures, such as the wearing of gemstones or participating in pujas (these are sacred rituals that you can sponsor, from a distance) to help harmonize our relationship with the sometimes chaotic nature of our life cycles.
I typically do one session per day. That person (or couple, or family) is my focus for the day, and my goal is to reveal the most impactful insights that your astrology has to offer. I hope to be a blessing for each of my clients, to allow something greater to work through me so that some kind of powerful inspiration happens for you. I'm amazed at how this usually works, even when sometimes the news isn't "good" for the short-term, I find that my clients come away feeling empowered by understanding their astrology and how to best work with it. I'm honest and clear, but I'm also compassionate, and I care a great deal for every person I am privileged to work with.
I have been doing this work for nearly three decades now, but each person is unique, each moment in time (including the moment of birth) is unique, and I find it remarkably beautiful that the heavens are always reflecting all of our lives, all of the time. How blessed am I to be able to help others navigate and chart a course through this precious human life?
